very smart move on china's part!

i totally applaud china for this!!!

this is something that the USA has not really done or pushed for yet... my conspiracy theory side of me almost feels like that any person in the US that might create such a feasible power source most likely is either
1) harassed about ideas/discredited so research stops
2) is bougten out and work is dropped
or
3) killed/missing

is it me or does it make more sense to stop this F$#@@$ing stupid/pointless war in Iraq and use the billions we spend each week on a renewable energy source.

but that would make sense and be logical.. unlike our current lawmakers, representatives, and President/cabinet... the rich wouldn't benefit, everyone would..

sorry about the angst, but i love my country but its the govt i do not love... is it me or does it seem like the USA is at the point where our Founding Fathers were at when they made the trip across the ocean for something better?? taxation w/o representation?

just my .02..

I applaud China for taking this first step.

Some other, renewable / environmentally friendly power supply options:

A drop in the bucket!

A mere drop in the bucket!

Alas, mainland china, has very severe air pollution problems, if the aerosols are now traceable in the US & Canadian Pacific northwest states!

Beijing air quality is detereorating so badly , that by '08 it will be far worse than that of both Houston & Los Angeles combined, and make London's infamous Smog, prior to the "Clean Air Act" look very clean in comparison!

Whilst a small step in the right direction, China has a very long way to go, to clean up it's air pollution problems, which seem to be worsening in the booming economic growth!
