What Arrogance!
Who is this "we" he is talking about?
The Mayor thinks he and his buddies own the city, but he really is nothing more than a hired manager -- a servant to the people of Chicago who really do own the streets and sidewalks.
Vote this clown out!

This is arrogance. Citizens of Chicago own city facilities, not the city government. I guess Daly doesn't get it yet. Probably never will

Drug dealer Joe: All of downtown is wired with cameras where are we going to sell our product?
Supplier Bob: The suburbs of course.
Lets not forget how much harder this makes things for terrorists too:
Before cameras - Place bomb, run
After cameras - Cut wire, place bomb, run
Think Im going to buy stock in a wirecutter manufacturer.

The city personal making the comment that they own the streets, sidewalks and alleys may very well be true, but who pays for those streets, sidewalks and alleys? The taxpayers that is who! I do believe that all government officials need to pay more attention to what the citizens of the U.S. think instead of what they think is good for us. Millions of dollars could be better spent on the other necessities.

- I do believe protecting any and every city from terrorists and criminals is essential. However, going to such lengths to do it is good and bad. I can understand people thinking their privacy might be invaded, on the other hand watching a crime in action is always a good thing for the victim.
