CSC acquires Italian consulting firm

Professional services giant Computer Sciences acquired Milan, Italy-based financial consulting firm InfoSer in an all-cash transaction. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. CSC, based in El Segundo, Calif., said the acquisition will help bolster its business in the financial services market and expand its reach in Italy, where CSC already has several offices.

InfoSer specializes in providing systems integration, implementation services and application consulting to banking clients in Italy. InfoSer's management team will remain with the company and will report to Daniele Carboni, who is the president of CSC's Italian operations. InfoSer's 300 employees, who are primarily based in Milan, will join CSC, the companies said.
