CNET to launch two new TV shows

CNET: The Computer Network has announced plans to launch two new technology-related television programs.

The two shows, called The Web and The New Edge, will be aired on July 7. The company's first show, CNET Central, has been renewed for a second season on the Sci-Fi Channel and USA Network.

The Web, an hour-long show, will focus solely on the Internet and online services. It will provide instructions on how to select and use various technologies, including browsers and tools.

The New Edge will be a weekly half-hour show focused on cutting-edge technologies and high-tech gadgetry.
