CA delivers defensive packages

Computer Associates International unveiled on Monday five Protection Suite bundles aimed at small and midsized businesses. The packages pull together CA's eTrust Antivirus, eTrust PestPatrol Anti-Spyware and BrightStor ARCServe Backup products. They also contain Desktop DNA Migrator, a system restore and recovery tool not included in an earlier version of Protection Suite.

The bundles will be available worldwide in July, the Islandia, N.Y.-based company said. They are: CA Desktop Protection Suite; CA Server Protection Suite; CA Business Protection Suite (for desktops and servers); CA Business Protection Suite for Microsoft Small Business Edition; and CA Business Protection Suite for Microsoft Small Business Server Premium Edition. They will range in cost from $325 to $1,099 for a five-user license, CA said.
