CA buys storage management company

Computer Associates International on Wednesday said that it has acquired privately held storage management company Netreon. Financial terms were not disclosed. Mountain View, Calif.-based Netreon develops software specifically designed for storage area networks, or SANs. Computer Associates last month introduced BrightStore SAN Manager, its entry into the SAN management marketplace. Computer Associates said it will incorporate Netreon's SANexec Designer into the BrightStore SAN Manager line to reduce the time to set up and modify SAN configurations.
