CA announced plans on Thursday to acquire Cybermation in a $75 million deal expected to close next month. As part of the merger, the IT management software company will market Cybermation's automated job-scheduling technologies as a standalone product. It also plans to integrate Cybermation into its broader workload automation offerings.
In January, CA announced its plans to buy help desk software maker Control F-1 and applications management specialist Wily Technology. Cybermation, a privately held 24-year-old company based in Ontario, generated $30 million in revenues last year and was profitable, CA said in a statement.
