CA appoints head of governance

Computer Associates International has named Robert Lamm its director of corporate governance, a new position at the company. Lamm, who most recently served as chair of the securities and corporate governance practice group at Gunster, Yoakley & Stewart in West Palm Beach, Fla., has also been named corporate secretary at CA.

Lamm will be responsible for CA's corporate governance programs and policies, as well as maintaining the company's relationships with institutional investors on governance-related topics. CA had come under fire in recent months after it disclosed government investigations into some of its accounting practices. The company has since said that investigations by external auditors found no problems.
