OneWave apps, as the software is called, are preconfigured and component-based ways to draw data from core business processes and distribute the information throughout a large company using Web browsers or existing desktop applications.
The initial OneWave apps will work with SAP software applications. By year's end the application will also support PeopleSoft and Baan business software.
OneWave apps for SAP address sales management, human resources, service management, procurement, and financial reporting. The modules for SAP will be demonstrated at SAP's user conference later this month.
The new software will be distributed free with OneWave's OpenExtensions, a $25,000 application which automates the integration of core business processes with existing legacy and client-server systems.
