Borland details latest on JBuilder

Borland Software on Tuesday said that an update to its flagship Java development tool, called JBuilder 2005, will be available next month.

The release adds support for the latest Java standard features, including the Java 2 Enterprise Edition 1.4 server specification and Java Server Faces, which eases the creation of Web-based applications that tap into back-end databases. JBuilder 2005 also incorporates the Java Development Kit 5.0, a recent update designed to make programmers more productive. Borland has improved the integration with other components of its software development suite, including its tool for gathering application requirements and managing source code. The company has also bolstered the performance-testing capabilities in JBuilder.
