Borland International is betting that you'll like its Delphi development tool if you try it.
The company is posting a 30-day trial version of Delphi to its Web site and has released two packages designed to make the tool easier to learn.
Delphi is the company's (BORL) rapid application development tool for Windows 3.1, Windows 95 and NT. The tool includes visual development features that allow users to build applications more quickly than traditional coding methods.
"Learn to program with Delphi" is a $49.95 package that includes a low-end version of Delphi, along with several tutorials and programming examples designed to get beginning programmers up and running.
The company also released Delphi 2.0, an entry-level version of the tool aimed at encouraging software developers to switch to Delphi. It is priced at $99.95.
