Boingo brings Wi-Fi to Olympics

Boingo Wireless will work with Greek Internet service provider OTEnet to set up a dozen Wi-Fi hot spots at airports, hotels and conference centers in Athens during the upcoming Summer Olympics. The hot-spot service, called OnWireless, will be available to customers of all Boingo's carrier partners, including EarthLink, Fiberlink, Infonet Services and Telecom Italia, for no extra charge. The roaming network also will be available to non-subscribers for $7.95 per day.

Hot spots, which allow consumers to wirelessly connect to the Internet, are becoming increasingly popular. Boingo's network has expanded internationally through deals with companies such as Inter-touch.
