Not sure which brilliant MBA came up with this scheme: it reeks like the work of a bunch of 22 year-old management consultants with a combined 10-minutes of industry experience. Whatever ... I don't care whose dumb idea this is. The Board should sack executive management, roll back the increase, and apologize.

I'd think it would make more sense for them to push the online channel to increase the number of subscribers without having to invest in brick and mortar locations.

Probably serves them right. During their "growth phase" they set up
locations across the street from mom-and-pop stores and drove
them out of business. Now, why should they expect any sympathy?
