Your last few paragraphs show your ignorance. There are two versions one is the Internet account and the other is Enterprise account.
With the Enterprise version of Blackberry your Exchange/Lotus Notes environment can filter out all that SPAM. You also belong then to a secure encrypted environment. With the ability of viewing attachments and Cell phone capability the RIM is a solid piece of technology...try that on your pager :P
