If the bet depends on me...

.... the wireless industry will lose big, big time.

Even now, I don't want games, voice mail, internet , email,
cameras, or any other sort of peripheral crap. All I want is a
phone with which I can reliably make and receive calls. And so
far, that simple job eludes the wireless folks.

So my message to the wireless folks is to save your snow jobs
and stop telling me how could I could have it. Right now, you
can't even provide the fundamental service you offer. And I hae a
hunch that when you do try all this other junk you're thinking of,
that fundamental service will suffer even more disfunction.

Besides, would anyone in their right mind want to watch 720p 0r
1080i video on a miniscule cell phone? And it's bad enough
when the dorks of the world drive around with their cell phones
glued to their ears running one near miss after another. Just
imagine the same dorks trying to drive and watch their favorite
TV show without mowing down pedestrians.

I don't want any of that crap, either, and I'm a gamer! What ever happened to phones that made calls?

Do we really need people watching TV while driving and putting on their makeup?
Why not just tune into existing TV stations?

Wouldn't it just be easier to add a TV tuner (analogue and/or digital) to phones? That way you could watch TV on the existing broadcast networks. Many phones currently have FM radios so why not TV?

Good question...

I agree with you. 100%! All I want is a mobile phone device with TV tuner, AM/FM radio and the usual candies (camera, games, music, video, etc.). If business minded people want cable style broadcast TV services, fine! Just please get the TV tuner on first!

Do we really NEED to??

Just make my cell phone work better. I'll manage to entertain myself.
