Ballmer zooms from Zune to Vista

videos With several key Microsoft products about to get a real-world test, Steve Ballmer is getting down to the nitty-gritty.

The Zune media player next month will enter into a ring dominated by the iPod. The much-delayed Vista version of Windows is now in the home stretch toward its release. The Office suite, meanwhile, is facing a rising Web challenge.

Microsoft's CEO stopped by CNET News.com's San Francisco office Wednesday to chat with reporter Ina Fried about standout features in the upcoming releases and how the company plans to convince people to buy them.
