BBC, Audible ink content deal

BBC Audiobooks, owned by British broadcaster BBC, is teaming up with content provider Audible to market its titles worldwide. Under a deal announced Monday, Audible Internet Audio Service will feature hundreds of titles from BBC Audiobooks and broadcasts of BBC shows. Customers can purchase these titles from Audible.com or from online shops such as Apple Computer's iTunes store and Amazon.com.

Titles include works by P.G. Wodehouse, Alistair Cooke, Graham Greene and John Mortimer. Broadcast shows include "Little Britain," "A History of Britain," "The League of Gentlemen" and "Doctor Who." This is the second major deal that Audible has signed in less a one month. In January, Audible entered a pact with the National Football League to offer audio recordings of games.
