Atari CEO steps down

Video game maker Atari announced its chief executive officer, James Caparro, has resigned to take a CEO position at Glenayre Technologies subsidiary Entertainment Distribution. Caparro was originally brought onboard to replace Bonnell and joined Atari's board in February 2002. Previously, Caparro worked with Warner Music Group, Universal Music and PolyGram, which helped Atari expand its children's games such as "Backyard Sports," Nickelodeon's "Blue's Clues" and "Dora the Explorer." Atari is also known for its interactive titles including "Unreal Tournament," "DRIV3R" and "Enter the Matrix."
