Apple updates OS X

Apple Computer has released version 10.0.4 of its Mac OS X. The fourth minor update to the new operating system improves support for USB devices and CD burning with iTunes, boosts battery life for PowerBook G3 notebooks, and supports Apple's new 17-inch flat-panel monitor.

OS X, which was released in March, is the first complete overhaul of Apple's operating system since the original version came out 17 years ago.
