Apple developer conference slated for June

Apple Computer on Tuesday announced the dates for its 2005 developer conference, an event that has served as the launchpad for several products in recent years. The 2005 Worldwide Developer Conference will take place June 6-10 at San Francisco's Moscone West convention center, Apple said.

The company used its 2004 show to show off plans for Tiger, an update to Mac OS X that is due to ship in the first half of this year. In 2003, CEO Steve Jobs used his keynote speech to show off the first Power Mac G5 towers.
