Apple Teams With Sundance Film Festival

Apple Computer today announced a three-year agreement with the Sundance Film Festival. Apple will use its QuickTime Live technology to bring interviews with filmmakers from the festival to the Internet. The festival runs from January 18 to 28 in Park City, Utah.

The film festival will also open a New Media Center on January 20 to demonstrate how technology is used in making movies. Demonstrations will include 3D modeling and animation, virtual reality, and Macromedia's Shockwave for the Internet.

The Slamdance Film Festival, an alternative to Sundance, has launched Slamdance '96 on the Web. The site will feature film clips and interviews with first-time filmmakers.
