Anystream nabs $8 million

Anystream, a digital media software company, on Tuesday said it raised $8 million in a second round of funding from Softbank Capital Technology Fund. Sterling, Va.-based Anystream develops software to encode and deliver streaming and broadcast media over the Internet, cable or mobile devices.

The company's previous investors include SCP Private Equity Partners. Anystream plans to use the money to market its software.
