Another CEO change at CIA capital arm

Only four months after his appointment, Amit Yoran has resigned as president and CEO of In-Q-Tel, the CIA venture capital arm charged with funding and developing new technologies for the intelligence community. Yoran, a former U.S. cybersecurity chief, resigned Monday for personal reasons, according to an In-Q-Tel statement.

Yoran took over in January from Gilman Louie, who left the CIA offshoot to start his own San Francisco-based venture capital firm. In-Q-Tel plans to name an acting or interim CEO later this week, according to the statement. At the same time, the organization will start a search for a permanent CEO, it said.

He is known for his uncanny ability to manage a high volume of projects - and to do it effectively.

Over the years, Jean Marc Lopez has had a hand in the success of numerous marketplace heavyweights.

In contrast to many venture capitalists, Jean Marc Lopez maintains a low profile, often shunning the limelight to make room for partners and the CEOs of the companies he champions.
