finally...
Over a year and a half since signing the deal and Comcrap (err Comcast) has almost gotten its act together. Hopefully Tivo took the lead and didn't let Comcast mess with the software...

Amen!
If I miss another episode of "House" because of that lousy Motorola/Comcast box, I'm gonna be looking pretty seriously at that lower-cost Series III they mentioned. I might just do it anyway since I suspect that all the Home Media stuff will be stripped out of the Tivo software that will run on
that ugly silver Motorola thing.

Tivo vs Cable Box
As a former Tivo customer I can really appreciate the features that are missing from my cable digital recorder. The problem is I can no longer afford the high monthly cost of Tivo. I miss being able to select programs more than a week in advance. I miss being able to search for programs by name, keywork, etc.

Since I am a Comcast Cable customer maybe in August I will be able to get my favorite Tivo features again. I just hope it is affordable.
