Free AOL
Will the free version be exactly the same as the subscription version, does it use the same mail client? I ask because we recently sent emails to registered users and they couldn't receive the images etc?

Cheers, Darren.

This is kinda funny and a little sad...
AOL can no longer make money on quality programming convincing potential customers that AOL is better. They have to rely on money from the advertising industry.

This will make spam worse for all of us and will make spyware/adware a bigger problem for anyone that uses this new email.

AOL has nothing good to offer. Two gigs of email space just "sounds" good. In reallity, two gigs means problems. It's the same for google. There is a price for this, even though it may be free. This is NOT a good thing.

No way!!!!
You mean I can finally get my own e-mail address ending in @aol.com, and I won't even have to pay $25 a month for it? Wow, this is awesome!!!!!!!

Can I get all the spam and junk mail, just like a regular AOL user?

This is so sweet!!!!! I cannot wait!!!!!!!!!!!! ! ! ! ! !!!!!

P.S. Targeted advertising is not "creepy" unless you're just trying to sound relevant to an audience who fears/mistrusts/misunderstands their computer. Targeted advertising is just like any other advertising. The part of the website you learn to tune out.
