AmberPoint ramps up Web services monitoring
The company's Service Level Manager product can now monitor Web traffic along with XML (Extensible Markup Language) message network traffic, which is used in Web services applications. The change is designed to help companies get a more accurate picture of an application's performance through its various steps, from a Web browser-based portal to back-end systems, according to the company. The updated products also introduce graphical tools to set security policies. The company's entire suite, called AmberPoint 2004, costs $50,000.
