All-Star voting via handhelds

MLB Advanced Media, Major League Baseball's interactive media company, unveiled on Tuesday its All-Star voting via wireless devices. The free service allows baseball fans with wireless devices to vote for their favorite players for the Major League Baseball All-Star Team and to retrieve up-to-the-minute baseball scores via a Web site.

Fans can also preview the service from a desktop computer. MLB Advanced Media worked with iConverse, a mobile software provider, to develop the service and may add other features such as player statistics.
