Facebook is an ethically challenged company.
And from articles I've read beginning with the company's genesis up to its latest 'lapses', it appears that everything starts at the top.

It's sort of the anti-Google. Not that Google is all good but it started out with an explicit effort to define its ethical boundaries. Facebook on the other hand seems to have started out with no cares at all about what its ethical boundaries are. Their chief method of developing an ethical map is by bumping up against the limits and finding out how many people squawk at their ethical breaches. This is basically how a sociopath learns how to operate in society.

This is funny
IMO, this is like people writing their name and phone number on a
public bathroom wall then complaining when they can't paint over
it.

If you don't want the world knowing your business, don't publish it.
