Glad to see they are on their way to resolving this issue.
doesn't have any?
Be specific. Name the program that Apple makes the is spyware/
malware, and tell me where to download it. I'd love to see some
spyware/malware for my Mac OS X PCs that totally mess my
system up.
Provide us, the CNET users, a link. This really is interesting, that
your named Apple about "questionable means to gain market
share" (i.e. malware/spyware).
Otherwise, no proof of it . . . hush!

So what? I don't use IE on my XP PCs that I own, or the Virtual PC
emulators on my Macs, so why would I care?
Are people still using IE over Firefox or Opera? Shame, I guess
they like to have their data stolen and become victims of data
theft.
Is it a low move on behalf of Adobe? Perhaps not, since they're
one of the most pirated companies on Earth, especially by
college students. I don't know gains on our society Adobe may
make is suing and jailing college students for learning will have,
though I do understand the business part, I think Adobe needs
to release their programs at about $50 per program. Sure, it
won't stop the piracy, but putting spyware into a web browser
isn't either, just give Adobe a semi-legal (think about TOS or
EULA agreements for the toolbar) way to sue people using their
programs and they didn't pay for it.
Yes, they own it, but as I stated, the programs are a rip-off, no
matter the end result. I'm for moderation: low program price,
then go after pirates who have no excuse now.
Anyways, I'm really moot on the point since I use Adobe
products on my Macs, and I did buy them.

If you read the article carefully, it says that this is installed only when you use Microsoft IE and that's because IE6 doesn't have a built-in search box like firefox or safari.
By the way, if you are using Firefox, Safari or Opera, you already have this 'malware' (aka google search box built in the browser) and your data is already stolen (as per your conspiracy theory). That's such a shame!
This is a bad deal and IMO again breaks the "Do no evil" mantra that Google used to try to abide by.
