Adobe Systems on Wednesday released a new version of
Photoshop Elements, the hobbyist version of the company's image-editing software. Photoshop Elements 3.0 enhances tools for touching up photos, including the "healing brush," a popular addition to the full version of Photoshop. The application also includes links to online printing services offered through a new alliance with Kodak's Ofoto subsidiary.
The Windows XP version of Photoshop Elements 3.0 sells for $100 for the full version or $80 for those upgrading from a previous version. The Mac OS X edition is $90 for the full version and $70 for the upgrade. A package combining Photoshop Elements and Premiere Elements, Adobe's new hobbyist video-editing application, is available for $150.
