Actuate fills out business-reporting software

Software company Actuate on Monday extended its data-reporting product line with a data analysis server. The new application, called Actuate Analytics, is designed to allow businesses to analyze historical data along many "dimensions," or views. A sales professional could view customer account information by region or size of customer, for example.

The analysis software works in conjunction with Actuate's existing business reporting software line, so people can generate reports from the analytical data and click down to find the source of historical information. Actuate Analytics will be available at the end of January 2004 for $15,000 per processor.
