Wow!

To be honest... $100.00 a month for any form of communication
sounds like a ton of money.

Doesn't sound anything like a bargain to me.

To me, it is like buying "overage" insurance
by sgornick February 20, 2008 10:26 AM PST
I don't usually go over my 1,000 minute monthly plan but occasionally I do -- and get suprised with a massive bill because at $0.45/minute for each minute I go over, the "usage" charges can really add up.

With an unlimited plan, there are no suprises.

I wish Leap (Cricket) would have let Metro PCS merge with them as their unlimited is priced appropriately ... $40/month or thereabouts. Without the merger, either's coverage isn't good enough if you travel as you pay roaming in non-covered areas.
I use Net 10

I usually don't like giving a plug for any company. I must say that this is my second year using Net 10. I am extremly happy. I can buy a phone for as low as 20.00 and only pay 10 cents a minute as I use it. The savings are astronomical. The service is excellant here in Connecticut. No roaming charges at all. No monthly charges at all. Period! One thing I would wish for is a super simple phone that offers no text, internet, calanders and all that crapware. I would pay big money for a phone that just offered an address book ONLY!
