America Online was preparing to unveil on Wednesday an upgrade of its AIM.com home page and redesign of its AIM Today instant messenger companion screen. They offer content updated four times a day and easy access to AIM mail, SMS text messaging and other services and tight integration with music, entertainment and other programming. AOL also is rolling out an upgrade to the AIM 5.9 service that will offer the AOL Explorer browser as an optional feature for AIM users.
It's great AOL is making such strides in updating its services, both software and the Web services. In fact I LOVE the improvements. What I can't understand is why AOL can't seem to understand why my cell phone with AIM embedded into it, SonyEricsson s710a(Cingular Blue)and advertises this exact phone on its site as being AIM embedded for both Cingular Orange and Cingular Blue customers won't work. Never mind the fact Cingular is clueless of this phone's supposed capabilities. Anyone at CNET have any ideas?
