Online advertiser listings from YellowPages.com's distribution network will soon be featured on America Online, the firms said on Wednesday. The agreement will cover all online ad listings on YellowPages.com, SBC Smartpages.com and BellSouth RealPages.com. These listings will be integrated, hosted and displayed within the AOL Yellow Pages and will be carried across the AOL Service, AOL.com, and the Netscape and CompuServe services.
YellowPages.com is a joint venture of Yellow Pages and BellSouth Advertising and Publishing Corporation. Local directory search is considered a potential growth area for both directory publishers and online-search service providers.
