AOL gets the WeatherBug

America Online on Monday will begin allowing its instant messenger users to download AWS Convergence Technologies' WeatherBug, a PC desktop application that offers weather information.

People who download AOL Instant Messenger (AIM) 5.5 will have the option to download WeatherBug as well. WeatherBug will offer news and information on AIM Today, a start-up screen that launches when people sign into the client. Later this year, the partnership will allow AIM users to share WeatherBug information with each other in their chat windows.

Weatherbug
This new addition to AIM is an annoyance more than anything else. I can't get weatherbug off my pc even after I removed AIM.

Try Add/Remove Programs
Add/Remove in the Control Panel works just fine uninstalling WeatherBug on all my machines: Win98, ME, and XP. If it doesn't work, it's your machine at fault.
