AOL about-face

When word got out that America Online planned to give out members' telephone numbers to its business partners, members, privacy experts, and attorneys general reacted. They weren't happy. Today, AOL's CEO Steve Case also reacted.

Case said that while he feels the company's policy was widely misunderstood, AOL would rescind it. But this saga isn't over for the world's largest online service.
