Does anyone even care for these new formats?

I care for HD! Just not HD-DVD & BR.

I care about and want high-def content. What I hate is the format war and the DRM baldercrap. It's the "the customer is always wrong and always a criminal" mentality that is driving me and probably everybody else up a wall. I won't buy either format and I'm quite content, for now, to just "rent" my HD content from my cable provider.
They're in for a major disappointment

If they're hoping they won't have to deal with key comprises again. These hacks are but symptom of the major flaws that exists in all DRM that makes use of encryption, that is the decryption keys must be given to the same people who's access to the content is being limited. Once those keys are found any artificial limits can be removed.

I went shopping for an old 1983 movie, "THE KEEP"

I went everywhere to over 5 different stores.

Thats right.... bestbuy FYE target walmart checkout lines at safeway and giant ans food lion and shopper food warehouse. COSTCO and its similar twins and went to shopping malls.

Nobody sold it! you can guess where I got it..... If you dont sell it then you WILL not get any money period! IT seems maybe DRM is too expensive to put on older movies? Perhaps they only break even when they do this.

DRM is a rip off.
