I have to wonder if this being part of Vista is another law suit down the road. Will MS allow other vendors anti-spyware software to run in Vista??

Given Microsoft's poor security track record I'd be nervous of relying on their built in "defender". Windows users will probably end up having to patch defender as often as IE.
