I am using one of the first of the Motorola VT1000. I can't put it between my cable modem and router to control egress traffic because the PC port's speed cannot properly be detected. So it hangs off my router. Fortunatetly, Comcast's network provides sufficient bandwidth.

I cannot send or receive faxes, echo is often a problem, and spurrious DTMF tones often invade my conversation. Vonage's customer service has not been able to resolve any of my problems. I wish I could put my own SIP phone or line gateway on their network.
