Ridiculous. Precisely why I don't want more outsourcing of these functions. Do we really want our financial and medical information going overseas?

This sort of thing can't happen in the US. If I recall, the AOL database of 60 million customers was stolen by a US-based employee.

Having had a working experience in an indian call center which was doing outsourced work for symantec i learnt of how unsuspecting customers provided secure cc information to the agents which was sometimes misused infact i found a lot of agents noting down this information and trying to purchase on the net when i reported this matter i was asked to mind my own business when i heard this i resigned in fact this is what happens in most of the indian BPOs
