If you knew the internal policies here, MS employees are forbiden in contributing anything to the Open Source projects, only in special cases, I doubt it also.

This is what sucks ab't software patents.

Why the frig should a developer have to get someone else's blessing just to create a product? As long as copyright laws are maintained (that is, no one is ripping off source code), the only reason for a software patent is to maintain control to whomever holds the patent.

Man, we really need to get rid of software patents.

My opinion on a fair and balanced antitrust settlement for Microsoft vs. the US, EU and the rest of the world: Pirating MS software is no longer illegal, all patents held by Microsoft are now null and void. That should about do it.
