got a problem ... those of us who signed up for Identi.ca using OpenID can't do this ...it doesn't recognize my account. Unless I'm a moron, and I may be doing something wrong.

As a follow up to myself ...I'm kind of a moron. I signed up using OpenID, but if I go to settings --> password and set a password, I can then login without a problem using my nickname and this password. This will be a necessary step for all users who signed up/sign in using OpenID though.

knuthansen, this is adobe Air which is a little resource demanding but Adobe is working on that. We can't really do anything about this with Twhirl so far.

Thanks Rafe for the story.

Identi.ca isn't just pushing Twitter to improve, it's innovating and staying up and running(albeit under modest traffic as of yet). Identi.ca's openness and free software foundation means it could spawn thousands of niche networks. Finally Friendfeed and http://tweetscan.com/identica now offer ways to search Identi.ca messages as was only previously available for Twitter.
