Congrats to the team at Facebook on their massive growth as well as to the team at MySpace or sustaining 100,000,000+ visitors for the past year. Both are great feats!

Just comparing the home pages, it's not surprising that Facebook has more people visit it.

But, Facebook still has less than half the traffic in the US than MySpace. And, it doesn't seem that it will change in a near future.

Soldiers in Iraq are blocked by the Network Nazis from getting to Myspace on work computers. We can get to Facebook. It's not blocked.

Personalized MySpace home pages are noisy and generally unpleasant to visit. Plus there are continuous "friend" invites from girls from 3rd world countries, and people trying to sell things. I have not yet seen either scenario on Facebook.

So long as that remains the case Facebook will increasingly attract a wider audience than the teen/20 something's who like Myspace's style.

Facebook is lame! I have both accounts and I just don't get it what's this hype is about?! You can't personalize your page in facebook, the navigation is confusing and the layout of the page could not be more strangely positioned.
MySpace is so much easier to understand and to navigate. Flash layouts make a great feature and you can find any music artist you can think of.
But I will say one positive thing about Facebook is that it works in unison with Photoshop Express, and Flickr which is a great for aspiring photographers.
