It's interesting that this piece made no mention of the fact that this mysterious re-direct was immediately preceded by the appearance of a message from an alleged Turkish hacker group, informing the world that Photobucket had been hacked by said group.

Well, considering this was just posted an HOUR ago, and it said it could take users a COUPLE OF HOURS to see the fix.... perhaps some patience should be put in place? I still don't have access either, and I know a few who don't either. Just wait it out!

I contacted a friend that has photobucket and she is not having any problems. On the other hand, I still can't access or see anything downloaded from photobucket on anyones site.....

Does anyone know why this is affecting some users and not others? I access a chat board where a lot of pictures are posted - the pictures are hosted primarily by Photobucket. Many users are able to access the photos (and so I would assume Photobucket's site) while I cannot. I have a Photobucket account and can't even get to their home page. This is as of 11:55 PDT.

Just FYI, http://blogs.zdnet.com/security/?p=1285 clearly shows that Photobucket was hacked via DNS hijacking. Also, to clearly show that the site has NOT been restored as of yet. Attempting to use four different public DNS servers still results in no success as of 18 June (Wednesday) at 2:54PM Eastern time.

Photobucket should be ashamed of their extremely poor and deliberate misleading characterization of this situation.

likewise here the same. I did everything they told me to do and also have been patient. But it is many hours from the 2 hour statement. I likewise can not view any photobucket image, or even acess photobucket. I keep getting automatic redirect to an atspace.com site. Do not know anything of a turkish thing though. I usually am a patient person,,,but this is the pits....
