Comments on: Microsoft's Live Search scraps book digitization project

According to company blog, book search efforts are being disbanded and existing book search results will show up in regular searches rather than a separate section.

and the reality sets in this was just a desperate effort to outdo Google. Windows Live Search needs to do whats best, fix the lousy search text results.

OK, we are giving up copying Google in this area.

Tools like Atiz BookDrive made commendable efforts by Microsoft and the likes redundant.

Book digitization nowadays is so easy and freaking cheap any local library can can do it.
