Regarding Privacy

"I'm both fascinated and terrified of this idea"
Amen.
I was a HUGE fan of the A9 toolbar. Taking my browser and search history back and forth between home and work was a great feature. The ability to turn off history recording at will was pretty nice too.

The internet is a big place, and remembering what I found and what I liked, (and WHY) is getting harder and harder. Being able to rate, tag, and annotate web sites and have that data available across browsers/machines is a huge advantage. And of course sharing that is just icing on the cake.

Its kind of a bummer that they require my email address to activate my account. Its not that I don't trust them :) , but really, do I have to give my email address? Yes I could create a bogus yahoo/msn/google email, but why make me do that? Why not let me use the service and REALLY be anonymous. It would be a bit harder on the developers to find a way to handle spammers and lost passwords, but I am ok with that. :| Maybe it has to do with the fact that they are a web site, not a desktop application; rarely do desktop applications require my email address.

New Winner in Names That Don't Translate

Oh wow... You DO NOT want to know what "Hooeey" means in Russian.

This takes the cake on company names that the creators will live to regret. :-D

Take a vowel out somewhere and I think we're speaking the same language in English as well ;)
