Listen, a**clown, Yuwie is free to join and free to use. I've met some great people on there, and use it even MORE than My Space now! Even if they don't pay me a dime, I'll still use it. The company I work for is a "pyramid". I will NEVER make more money than my boss no matter how much money the company makes! And NOONE will make more than the owners.....ever! But if I decided not to use Yuwie ever again but my referral's did, they'd make more than me! This goes against the whole concept of what a "pyramid scheme" is. You stating that it IS a pyramid scheme as a fact and not an opinion is not only morally wrong but ILLEGAL. So here's a piece of advice...learn your facts before you start bashing! And join Yuwie today! http://r.yuwie.com/spleendingo

What is Yuwie?
=================
First off, Yuwie is 100% FREE. Yuwie is like any other "connect with friends" or social networking site. But we have one major difference.

Use Yuwie - Get Paid!

Yuwie pays you to blog, upload pictures, refer friends, chat, hang out, etc.

Wow !! it's so good to see all my fellow yuiweians here defending our site .... And I hope this is proof enough , that we are not fakes .. We are real people , who have grown to love this place , alot of us for the friends we have made not for the money ..THAt is just an added bonus .. It's pisses me off that we should give this fool a second thought and give him any typ eof attention at all ..He has no ethical or moral backbone .. And obviosly has not done any real research on the subject .. And it's pethetic .. So here we are having to defend our beloved site , where we all come as one .. and make such lasting loyal freidnships . to the ponit the we untied to validate and defend our cause .. Yuwie an amazing site .IT is free to join .. HAs alot of features and the people there are wonderful ..So get your story right ..We are all real people and we are not gonna let you talk trash .. You look like an idiot..speaking that trash
here's my referal link if anyone wants to join ;) ..I figure this much ..If we have to give this moron some views we can get some referals from him too .LOL

I love Yuwie! and I'm a member on Myspace too, but I'm not on Myspace as much anymore. Why would I be when I can get paid to do the same things on Yuwie that I'm doing on Myspace. I have signed up with other social network sites, Facebook, etc. but I couldn't get into them.

Yuwie is not a pyramid scheme because there is no money involved. Yuwie is 100 % free and there is no hidden fees after you join. Yuwie figures by sharing it's ad revenue they will become more popular and attract more members than Myspace. The more popular Yuwie becomes the more sponsors they will get. More sponsors mean more money. Yuwie wants to be popular and what better way to do that than by sharing its ad revenue. Yuwie members supply the content and recruits for members so why shouldn't Yuwie share the revenue with the people that are doing most of the work. Yuwie was just an idea to start with and the person that thought of it didn't have anything to lose either. Why not spread the wealth. You scratch by back I'll scratch yours so to speak. I set it up and you make the page and help bring in members...we all share the wealth. What could be better than that.

Whoever says Yuwie is a scam just doesn't know what they are talking about. Yuwies not a get rich scheme either. You are not going to get rich over night and if you just sign up and don't do anything your not going to make any money. You are going to get out of it what you put into it. The more active you are on Yuwie the more money you will be able to make. You can check out my page on Yuwie at www.yuwie.com/doddee. I'm an active Yuwie member. When I satrted there was less than 50,000 members and there is over 300,000 now.

And... if Josh doesn't think Yuwie is easy to use, he just hasn't checked it out. I love Yuwies control panel and it is very easy to use. All this time that I was on Myspace I never got into blogging because I couldn't get into it the way it is set up. I have a lot of blogs on Yuwie and I'd love it if you checked out how I have them set up. Even if you don't care about the money making side of Yuwie...Yuwie is fun and everyone is very active. I love that....and there's less kids and less Inappropriate material too.

That's my rant for Yuwie...for now...I could go on and on. I love Yuwie!

There is always someone ready to yell SCAM for anything that has money involved, even if it's not THEIRS! I knew this would happen, so I set up a website at www.YuwieScam.com to feed off the curiosity it generates. THANKS!

I'm just glad they don't have the authority to make me send the money back that Yuwie has so generously allowed me to share from their profits.

I'm not going to even try to convince anyone with a mind so warped that they can twist revenue sharing into some kind of scam, my results can do the talking for me. Why would I waste the time anyway, I'd rather spend it writing for my Blog on Yuwie and get paid more.

Yes, I did open an account here just to make this comment and probably won't be back. I have more lucrative things to do with my time.

Wooo josh L.
You couldnt be more mislead. I hope you write a retraction ! I've been part of yuwie for quite a while and i love every bit of it! Yuwie is WAY better than myspace, and the stupid apps for facebook are driving many people insane. At yuwie ive met many genuine friends and made real money at the same time. It doesnt operate as a pyramid scheme like you stated . you clearly dont know what ur talking about!
I hope no one was dissuaded by your comments!
cheers and happy new years to all

I agree completely with this article. Yuwie is raking in users by giving them unrealistic expectations of the amount of money they can make. On average, Yuwie can probably afford to pay each of its users about 10 cents a month. If you're interested, I've created a webpage which does some simple math to support that claim. It's at http://www.dstewart.ca/yuwie.html.

Don't get me wrong... if you like Yuwie's layout/features/etc better than other social networking sites, then go ahead and use it. But don't use it to try to make money, because it probably won't work. And don't spam to try to get referrals!!!

Having read the comments about yuwie , i have to confess to being a member , though not primarily to make a fortune but to network with friends and make new friends as well .

Being into social networking can be a life line to a lot of people and open a new world to them.
I have joined uvme which is about to revolutionize social networking in that people will not only be able to socialize but also have fun playing Skill Games against each other for a small wager and if they wish to build their own business in doing so with limited risk and small investment .
So heres to a new era of Social networking with uvme .

If I get another Yuwie invite on my MySpace at http://www.myspace.com/bobbibillard I am going to lose my marbles! I'm sorry to vent but I'm having a really bad spam day and I just had to go through and delete about 300 of these comments advertising that site in my comments. Is it just me or do you guys also receive spam after spam from people trying to invite you to that ridiculous website?

For starters, don't you realize that posting links to that site will get your profile deleted off MySpace? It says clear as day in the Terms of Service here that you cannot use your myspace for commerce without expressed permission from MySpace. And I heard that myspace blocked links to that site thru their MSPLink system anyway. So advertising them is a complete waste of time. And if it meant I would lose my profile here... ummm no way dude! Choosing between Yuwie and MySpace is a no brainer. In the short time I spent checking out their site, I realized right away that Yuwie just plain sucks! The people aren't there to be your friend. They are just there to fill your profile full of spam and see you as another dollar sign.

And my other beef with Yuwie? I can't get the idiots at customer service to remove some moron that has stolen my name and likeness on that site. So basically someone is trying to make money by tricking people and posting my pics. They make you sign up to even be able to reach a living breathing human being on there and then when I did they blocked ME and left the fake profile up. Could it be that someone at Yuwie has a vested interest in someone impersonating me on there? Somebody must be making money! That is what I am left to assume... And so, I guess I will have to get a lawyer involved as nothing is being done. *sigh*

Sorry ya'll! That's my rant of the day. My advice to you is to stay away from that website... and please please, for the love of God, quit spamming me!

I'm off to take a nice hot bubble bath now. Calgon, take me away!

UPDATE: Someone was nice enough to point me out in the direction of their email address to get rid of fake profiles. I sent them a message and got the following response...

This is an automatically generated Delivery Status Notification

Delivery to the following recipient failed permanently:

copyright@Yuwie.com

Technical details of permanent failure:
PERM_FAILURE: SMTP Error (state 13): 550 , Recipient unknown

----- Original message -----

So none of their email addresses even work? Sounds like a bunch of scammers are running that website. I wonder what happens when it comes time to cash in on your supposed earnings. They probably just block you and then there is no way to contact anyone. What a joke!! Does anyone know how to contact these fools so I can get this profile taken down? ARGHHHH!!!!!!

Take care,
Bobbi Billard

Hi Bobby try using privacy@Yuwie.com or admin@yuwie.com. Or just make a profile real quick and contact Y Guy directly in an instant message. That's what I've done when I've had problems, and he was very fast at getting back to me.

I simply hate MYSPACE.... MYSPACE is the worst trash that has come out of social networking... I pretty much had to turn my settings to approve EVERYTHING to stop people from spamming me ringtone web sites, cam web sites and last but certainly the biggest turn off is prom web sites... I have been HACKED 3 times on myspace and the IM thing that they have it worthless tooo.... if you do not have a firewall protecting you then I feel sorry for you cause you are being hacked daily on there... trust me I only used their IM system that you download 2 times and both times my firewall went crazy so I wont be using that anymore... freakin site needs to control the porn and hacking before I will use it... been on there over 2 years and no one wants you as a friend unless you are a teen or quote "COOL"... if myspace is so good then why is every school in ohio have the site blocked for BAD CONTENT!!! So don't even tell me Yuwie is a scam... first off you need to actually use Yuwie in order to give an opinion about it... MYSPACE is the worst for customer service as well... they SUCK hands down... at Yuwie the owner actually talks to you... granted back in January when you were having issues the site was new.... yes NEW... also you just did not know how to contact them the right... oh yeah and one more thing this is why you need to approve your comments on MYSPACE and even on YUWIE... but on YUWIE they pay you for accepting each comment... this is how I am making most of my money on there... wait 3 seconds approve... wait 3 seconds do this or do that... its so easy and the site is PG 13, you will not see porn bots, cam bots, fake ladies, or harassing idiots... they block them after 1 report!

You are so wrong on so many levels, it's not even funny. Check your definition of Pyramid Scheme again. 1. A pyramid scheme is a non-sustainable business model that involves the exchange of money primarily for enrolling other people into the scheme, usually without any product or service being delivered. It has been known to come under many guises. 2. S: (n) pyramid scheme (a fraudulent scheme in which people are recruited to make payments to the person who recruited them while expecting to receive payments from the persons they recruit; when the number of new recruits fails to sustain the hierarchical payment structure the scheme collapses with most of the participants losing the money they put in). Yuwie is FREE!

Everyting about Yuwie is FREE and Everything associated with Yuwie is FREE, except for advertising on it!!!!!!
Yuwie has been around since 2003 and NOT going anyware, but growing by the thousands everyday. By my calculations Yuwie is VERY RIGHT! Social Networking isn't going away but getting bigger by the second.

You know, the irony in all of this is that this guy has probably gotten MORE people to join Yuwie since he made this article :) Anyways, here is my experience with Yuwie:

A friend of mine told me about Yuwie back in August of 2007. I admit that when I first joined I was only in it for the money. I was very impressed by the 10 levels of referrals and how much money could be made. Not only that, but I thought about the potential traffic I could gain by promoting my own money making sites on there. But then something happened. I started meeting people that were not there to just make money. Some were actually joining because they were tired of the constant spam-bot messages and getting their accounts constantly fished on (that other popular social networking site). I have yet to have that problem on Yuwie. Yuwie has a much better crowd of people in my opinion as well. Also, the friends that I have there actually keep in touch with me on a daily and sometimes even hourly basis. As for the interface, yeah there are still some kinks to work out, but remember the site is still in its infancy, with less than a million registered users on it. What I love is how Yuwie actually asks its users what they want, and will even implement those ideas. I know because the used my idea about making it easier to manage your top friends list. For me it's not all about the money anymore. Even if I wasn't paid to be on Yuwie I would still prefer it over (that other site). Yeah that other site may have a cooler name and better advertising, but I need more than that. It's a good thing that Yuwie provides what the other site is missing. I'm not going to go so far as to delete my account on that other site because I still have friends over there that are reluctant to give Yuwie a shot. But if one day all of my friends decided to join me on Yuwie then I wouldn't have much of a reason to stay on that other site. Well that's my $0.02 about Yuwie. If you are an existing Yuwie member and want to add me, or if you wanna sign up, feel free to hit me up. my profile name is the same as my username on here. Just type in the Yuwie address with a / and then my username. Take care!

Im sorry but the pro Yuwie are bogus. Analyse how structured their points are, how when you read it it almost sounds like an advert in your head and just look at yuwie itself! It looks like it was made by a 12yr old novice! All my friends are on either facebook, bebo or both and I aint movin! Lifes not about $$$$$$, something I think Yuwie forgot!

Hey Billy, the reason our points are so structured is because unlike the majority of users on the other sites, WE are mature young adults with intelligence. Is this more for your liking?:

YUWIE PWNZ ALL TEH OTHER SITEZ OUT THEREZ & DA OTHERS ARE TEH SUXXORZS!!!!!111111ONEONEONE

All you need to do is check out my page as well as other peoples' that have posted their comments on here. And as for your comment about Yuwie looking like it was made by a 12 year old novice, I'd like to see YOUR handiwork. Yuwie isn't all about the money, but there's nothing wrong with a website giving back to its users. The other sites are making millions a month off of its users, and they aren't sharing a single damn penny of that ad revenue. You don't wanna leave the other sites? Great! PLEASE stay on those other sites because Yuwie needs to keep the site populated with quality people. Thanks.

(For those that think I'm being too harsh, sorry but I'm tired of people that don't even have an account on Yuwie bad-mouthing it when they have no idea what the hell they are talking about.)

Hello,
Yes, I've just become a member here (CNET,) so I could add my comment.
I totally agree that folks shouldn't bash something they haven't tried .
I've been a member with Yuwie for several months, using it intermittantly. I don't know if I'll make money on it, but I'm sure I won't on Facebook (which I'd been using more extensively).
Anyhow, I'm finding that everywhere you go, you get advertising.
With my on-line time being limited, I'm spending more of my time on Yuwie...
so what's wrong with that?
If you want to try it, here's my referral link: http://r.yuwie.com/angie_s
If not...don't go there...
You have a choice! isn't that what it's all about?
by Diarthrotic February 20, 2008 10:09 AM PST
yuwie has only been around for a short while. the other social networking sites that have been discussed have been around for five to twelve years or more. Yuwie has potential.

I agree, it's new but it will be around for a long while yet. 3 years down the road the functionality will be solid and in a year or so you'll see much more people joining. The lucky few who are building solid teams now will for sure see some rewards later on for building the community.
