Give to UK charities while shopping online
by AndyBrit June 13, 2007 3:39 PM PDT
On this subject of charitable giving without extra cost I'd just like mention CharityCheckout.com which is a site that I set up 6 months ago to allow users to raise money for charity by doing their online shoping through the site. We generate revenues through affiliate referrals and offer full tracking for our register users as well as a host of social features such as discussions and groups. We support leading UK charities such as World Vision, Shelter, UNICEF and many more.

We have a FAQ so users are aware of how the site generates monies for their Charities here: http://www.charitycheckout.com/help/faq.

I'd should add that it is a UK only based site. I hope it is of interest.

The Hunger Site

In defense of The Hunger Site, you need not set this wonderful site as your home page to remember to use it. You can request an automatic daily reminder e-mail with a link to the site. I find it works just fine to keep me clicking-to-give on a regular basis without being too intrusive. BTW, you can also block any popups for a year at a time via the site settings.

All your other giving ideas are worthwhile as well...whatever method you choose, just do it! Good for those in need, and good for the soul too.
