You should check out Tencap Tennis - great for tennis leagues and clubs to allow their members to connect, set-up matches, have real-time 'Tencap' (equivalent of a handicap in golf).

You can check out PeopleJar.com where you can find related sports fans(like "baseball player" or non-traditional sports like "cyclist") in your area.
