If you aren't a programmer and want to make games, you are better off with tools like Construct. They do plenty of hand holding but is not nearly as limited to a small set of cookie cutters like the ones you mentioned.

What about Game Maker? You can make some pretty complex games with that. It also has drag and drop, but you have the option of using code for more control.
Unless by online games you mean games that you can play in a browser.

Hi, Troy here from http://playmockingbird.com/. While our kits are cookie-cutter (that's the point of it being a kit!), we've recently released Mockingbird Designer for free (previously $3.95/year). Designer is what we used internally to build the kits, and it lets you set your own rules and build new gameplay from scratch.

To be honest, right now we're doing a very poor job of promoting Designer, primarily because our attention has been elsewhere (our "business" is licensing the Mockingbird Platform to other companies; http://playmockingbird.com/ is effectively a proving ground for our tech).

So, check out Designer today: http://playmockingbird.com/designer

Don't forget about www.byond.com. It's really easy to make games there.
